Qwick Wick September Update: Summer is Going Fast but We’re Not Done Yet
Parkhill, ON Canada – September 9, 2021 - Depending on how you look at it some see September as the end of summer, others see it as the beginning of fall and for some as a time for new beginnings. Here at Qwick Wick things continue to heat up.
Over the summer many of our sponsored drivers have achieved amazing wins, podium finishes and personal bests. We are so proud of each of them! A couple of recent notable achievements we wish to recognize include two of our #TeamQwickWick family of drivers.
NASCAR Pintys Series Rookie Treyten Lapcevich scored his series career-best road course finish (third place) in the Olymel GPO on Saturday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This feat was at a track he has never raced at or tested on. Immediately after his first trip to the CTMP Media center Lapcevich made a nearly two-hour drive to Flamboro Speedway to compete in the APC Series event where he drove his No 32 RGC-backed machine from the back of the pack to earn himself a second-place finish. This was his second podium finish of the day.
Joining Lapcevich on the APC Series grid at Flamboro Speedway was 22 Racing development driver Kyle Steckly who was making his debut in this highly competitive series at a track he’s already had four wins at this season as part of the weekly series he competes in. Steckly meticulously hit his marks and worked his way to the front to earn his first win in his APC Series debut, adding to his 4 wins this season at the always entertaining Flamboro Speedway.
Up Next, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series heads back to the ovals - this time at Flamboro Speedway on Sunday, September 12, 2021 for two 125 lap races including the QwickWick125.
Follow our social media channels for updates on who will be giving the "Drivers Start Your Engines" command and wave the green flag for the #QwickWick125. Fans in the stands should also listen closely to the announcers for something special.
Expect oval regular Lapcevich, behind the wheel of the No. 20 22 Racing prepared Qwick Wick / RGC Camaro to be battling upfront for the win.
Each race will air on TSN and RDS/RDS2 in Canada and race fans in the United States can stream races after they air on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.
